NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope to Reveal Secrets of the Red Planet

It has been fifty years since man first ventured into space, but the greatest secrets are yet to be revealed. Mars is the planet in our solar system most similar to Earth. See more in Season 1, Episode 2, “Mars: The Red Planet.”

The dust storm was first detected back on May 30 but is starting to clear to the point NASA believes the solar-powered Opportunity rover will receive enough sunlight to “automatically initiate recovery procedures.” In a recent update, NASA says that it has developed a two-step plan “to provide the highest probability of successfully communicating with the rover and bringing it back online” if this automatic recovery procedure fires back up.
